Fiber Profil collaborates in the TAMESIS Project to promote recyclable pultruded profiles for industrialized construction

Fiber Profil is participating as a collaborating entity in the TAMESIS Project (ZE-2024/00002), an initiative led by JIT Housing aimed at developing fully recyclable profiles through the pultrusion process, specifically oriented to the industrialized construction sector.

The main challenge for Fiber Profil within the project is to define the technical criteria and establish the design foundations for a new generation of more sustainable pultruded composites that maintain their structural performance while being compatible with recycling and reuse processes—key aspects in the context of the circular economy.

The TAMESIS Project is co-financed by the Basque Government and the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) 2021–2027, under the HAZITEK 2024 program, a strategic initiative that supports business R&D and the technological transformation of the Basque industry.

Through this collaboration, Fiber Profil reinforces its commitment to sustainable innovation, applying its expertise in pultrusion technologies to address the new demands of the construction sector: lighter, stronger, more durable, and environmentally friendly structural solutions.

Participation in the TAMESIS Project is fully aligned with Fiber Profil’s vision of developing next-generation composite materials that drive progress toward a more industrialized, efficient, and circular construction model.

We would like to thank JIT Housing for coordinating the project, as well as the institutional support received. At Fiber Profil, we will continue to promote collaborative R&D as a driving force to turn technical challenges into sustainable, value-added opportunities for the industry.
