For years, Fiber Profil has been fully committed to research, development and innovation (R&D&i), seeing this investment as the key to building a solid and distinctive future. Actively participating in multiple research projects has been a driving force for our continuous improvement and the creation of unique products in the pultrusion market.
As a result of this commitment, in 2025 we were officially recognized as an INNOVATIVE SME by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities of the Government of Spain.
Earning this seal reinforces our dedication to maintaining and raising the quality standards of our products, while also providing strong support to continue tackling the challenges that lie ahead.
Our 3 lines of research
Recyclability
The recyclability of composite materials remains one of the industry’s greatest challenges. Today, many pultruded profiles end up in landfills after their service life. At Fiber Profil, we are committed to sustainability and actively research solutions that enable the use of recycled and recyclable resins – both thermoplastic and thermoset.
This commitment has led to the creation of ecoPUL®, nour exclusive range of pultruded profiles that are either fully recyclable or manufactured from renewable sources.
Structural Lightweighting
To meet the demands of applications with high mechanical requirements, we are developing lighter and stronger profiles by incorporating carbon fibers and graphene-enhanced resins. These technologies improve structural performance and expand the use of our profiles in sectors such as automotive, rail, and wind energy.
This approach has led to graphePUL®, a line of advanced profiles with high modulus and optimized weight.
Property Enhancement
Enhancing the technical properties of our products is a cornerstone of our innovation strategy. One of the most challenging aspects is fire resistance, particularly in composite materials. At Fiber Profil we are actively researching advanced solutions in collaboration with key suppliers, within the framework of the IGNIPUL project.
From this line of research comes igniPUL®, ua range of pultruded profiles with Bs1d0 fire reaction rating, specifically designed to meet the most demanding safety requirements.

Recyclable profiles
Developed with a clear focus on sustainability, ecoPUL® is our range of pultruded profiles that are fully recyclable or manufactured with resins containing recycled or renewable raw materials.
Thanks to years of research and collaboration, we have succeeded in maintaining the technical performance of the profile, delivering a more responsible alternative without compromising quality.
Graphene profiles
graphePUL® was created in response to the demand for lighter and more efficient structural solutions. By incorporating graphene-enhanced resins, we significantly improve mechanical properties, increasing the elastic modulus without raising the fiber volume.
The result is a stiffer, lighter, and more competitive profile — designed for sectors where the stiffness-to-weight ratio is key.
Fire-resistant profiles
igniPUL® is engineered to deliver maximum safety in applications that demand outstanding fire performance. It complies with the stringent EN 45545-2 R1 HL3 railway standard, offering superior flame, smoke, and toxicity resistance.
Additionally, it has been optimized for building applications, achieving the Bs1d0 classification, making it a reliable solution wherever fire resistance is a top priority.
R&D&I Projects
In recent years, Fiber Profil has actively participated in various research projects, with our three main development lines at the core.
Each project has enabled us to advance in real solutions, collaborating with technology centers, universities, and companies to bring innovation from the lab to the market.
