The main objective of the Z-WasTEK project is the development of new Zero-Waste technologies for the production of high value-added, sustainable, and competitive 3R carbon fiber composites.
This is being achieved through:
The development of a new repair methodology that enables the detection, damage assessment, and decision-making for all types of geometries, followed by repair using pressure and heat.
The development of a new recovery technology that allows both the carbon fiber and the polymer matrix from 3R composite production waste to be reclaimed with the same quality as the original raw materials.
The development of new 3R composite components based on high-quality, competitively priced recycled carbon fiber.
