Fiberglass pultruded profiles features

  • Excellent outdoors behavior.
  • Resistant to humidity, near zero water absorption.
  • Does not deteriorate, neither rot as wood. Not affected by microorganism.
  • Dielectric material. High resistance to electrical conductivity.
  • Very low heat transfer coefficient. Excellent thermal insulator.
  • Impervious to electromagnetic radiation. Does not interfere with electromagnetic waves emission, radio waves either.
  • Stability against UV radiation of solar origin.
  • 2/3 of aluminium weight and 1/4 of the steel.
  • It is possible to manufacture in a wide range of colours.
  • No need of superficial treatment, such as painting. Profiles get out of the machine with the determined colour.
  • Higher strain/weight ratio than aluminum and steel.
  • High mechanical resistance. Dependent on the reinforcing material.
  • Higher impact resistance than ceramic materials.
  • Low thermal expansion coefficient.
  • Wide range of operating temperatures. They keep its mechanical and electrical properties from 70 ºC to 200 ºC.
  • Dimensionally stable. Rigidity or flexibility for convenience.
  • They could be formulated for resist to the corrosion of the majority existing products.
  • The pultruded profiles have low inflammability, has self-extinguising additives and low lethal fumes generation. The standard profiles are type M2-F2. However, they could be produced according to the type M1-F1

Final Remarks

Due to its composed nature, it is possible to combine a great variety of profiles, in the manner of define specific characteristic. This fact demonstrates the great potential adaptability in the resolution of many project engineering, maintenance engineering, operating engineering and architecture problems.
